It was a sunny April day, where so many people were gathering together at NC State Fairgrounds to enjoy North Carolina Turkish Festival, a celebration of Turkish Cuisine and Culture.

Festival guests had a chance to taste a wide variety of Turkish dishes from world famous Doner kebab to a rich menu of traditional Turkish desserts, the oldest form of coffee drinking to Turkish style tea brewed in a unique way.

Divan Triad Grand Opening

On August 24th, 2008, Divan Cultural Center held its Grand Opening Ceremony in its Triad branch. Divan Cultural Center is a non-profit organization to promote dialogue and understanding between different cultures. One of the main focuses of Divan is to improve Turkish-American Friendship in North Carolina.  It also serves to North Carolina Turkish Community with various cultural activities. We value love, friendship and dialogue and see the future is bound with such high values. The program included a multimedia presentation about Turkey, Turkish folk music performance and was followed by a cocktail with samples from Turkish cuisine. The famous Doner Kebap was also served.
