2009 Kurban Bayrami Celebration

It included braised meat as well Smile. Goody bags were given to kids after the breakfast. A clown entertained the kids between 12 pm and 1 pm. It was a great gathering to greet each others' Bayram and talk in a warm atmosphere while we were away from our relatives and loved ones in Turkey for another Bayram occasion at Divan.

Our generous friends prepared foods or donated money directly to the Center to make the food ready. Divan volunteers organized 12 iftar dinners during the Holy Month of Ramazan. Around 600 people attended to these iftar dinners overall. We thank our generous volunteers who prepared the foods and helped us with the expenses as well as the guests who joined us in these iftars.

Kids felt a similar Bayram environment as in Turkey, and adults also enjoyed their time seeing and chatting with each other. A goody bag as well as a symbolic Bayram allowance to each kid between ages 2-15 were given. In addition, there were some fun activities prepared for the kids. We would like to thank in advance to those who contributed to the Bayram allowances and other expenses.
