The Turkish American Community in North Carolina extends their most heart-felt sympathies to the people of Haiti in their time of suffering and loss. As a community we share your pain as we too suffered a similar tragedy when, in 1999, Turkey experienced an earthquake as well. It is our sincere prayer that out of the suffering and loss, you will too find strength and compassion from your neighbors around the world. Please help us join in the recovery efforts going on in Haiti. Checks are payable to "Divan Cultural Center", and can be mailed to Divan-Triad or Divan-Cary branches. Collected donations will be donated to the Haitian Embassy in Washington, DC.
